Policy

Incase you're not sure...

Policy : A guiding principle designed to influence decisions, actions, etc. Typically, a policy designates a required process or procedure within an organization.

This may not be an organization but this is my website. I value hard work, there is hard work put in art and fiction featured on this site.

MY COPYRIGHT POLICY CONVERSATION WITH YOU!

Which you better read because it is quite amusing and snort, egh I mean short!

You say to me:

As a viewer of this site I understand it is fan related. Since I am here I am probably no doubt a fan myself, so incase I have a site of my own I will OBEY THE COPYRIGHT LAW.

So I say:

What is the definition of copyright?

Then you say with great enthusiasm:

A copyright is a set of exclusive rights granted by government for a limited time to protect the particular form, way or manner in which an idea or information is expressed. Copyright may subsist in a wide range of creative or artistics forms or "works", including literary works, movies, musical works, sound recordings, paintings, photographs, software, and industrial designs. Copyright is a type of intellectual property! Yay!

Now I say:

So stranger let me share my copyright policy! I might not be government but i'm better because I have a cooler more important policy!

1. If you own a site of your own, if you are part of a fan forum, or just for

  random sh!ts and giggles:

You will NOT use any artwork, fanfiction, or anything else that is NOT yours UNLESS you give credit to the original artist/writer/whoever.

2. If you take a picture, draw over it and claim it is yours

  * slaps you* WRONG how is it yours? You COPIED IT.

Give credit to the original owner.

3. If you take several pictures, rip them apart, and put them back together in some weird twisted way like your face and claim it is yours.

*slaps you* WRONG AGAIN. It wouldn't be yours if you didn't have the

ORIGINAL pics SOMEONE ELSE created! GIVE CREDIT!

  Better yet ASK PERMISSION.

These rules even apply to fanfiction.

Lord save you if I find you've taken ANY of my stuff without giving credit...

...I have sources.

Watch out.

*hisses*

So what have you learned?

You say:

Never steal/copy/deform any literary or artistic work without giving credit to the original owner.

Best thing to do is actually LINK to the original so people can be like OMIGOSH you're so COOL! Because you avoided an arse whoopin from the original peeps!
